Millenium Prophety

Millenium Prophety was created in January 1997, in the heart of the New York winter. Erik Karol (voice, texts, programming) and Emmanuel Reverdi (programming, alto saxophone) composed a one-hour long show together in a ten-day creative frenzy. They ensured success with their first two concerts in Manhattan at the Bell Cafe and Rose's Turn. A magician and fire eater, New York's own Beth Bongar, joined the show shortly after.

A "drum'n'bass/indie/jungle" group, with notes of free jazz, contemporary and experimental, Millenium Prophety was described as transitory art with the intensity and the brittleness of an ice sculpture. The circle was completed in June 1997. Millenium Prophety finished their adventure with new concerts in New York at the Bagott Inn and the Spiral. Like Vie Privee, some titles were retained in Erik Karol's solo repetory, including "Millenium", "Alloway", and "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo." In 1998, Emmanuel Reverdi released a CD with the band Access entitled "9AVB", which includes two titles co-written with and sung by Erik.
