Chaosmose
After having created numerous hypnotic and thought-provoking shows ("L'Epi Dorsal", "Teleutai", "Rameaux", "d'Ombres") Juan Le Parc created "Chaosmose". Juan Le Parc, a man at the frontier of combining plastic and scenic arts, invited the audience on a journey where the choreography and music were the expressive elements used to create a timeless utopian existence. The synthesis of a variety of media helped in the creation of this thought-provoking work; a theatre of pictures, choreographed objects, technologic constructions and psychobiological expressions.
This peculiar work explores the dark regions of the human body in evolution and beckons the viewer to climb back through the intricacies of fertility and erotic myths in search of procreation via the imagination.
"Chaosmose", a musical show in one act, with five scenes tells the story of Adamica and Evane, a primordial couple confronted with the stages of the biotechnology of time:
- The Recognition
- The Cannibalistic Banquet
- The Sexual Coitus
- The Embryo Gestation
- The Relief
The original music, composed by Erik Karol, combines both his crystal clear counter tenor voice and deeper guttural voice with sacred chants and oriental drum'n'bass rhythms.
